Design Is Magazine Proudly Presents the CHRIS Kids Show House
Featuring Atlanta’s Best Designers
Design Is magazine will host a Show House December 9-12, 2010. Proceeds will benefit CHRIS Kids, a 
local non-profit that provides assistance to troubled youth in Atlanta. An historic 6000 sq ft Midtown Mansion at 811 Piedmont Avenue has been carefully renovated into four luxury apartments that will be decorated as a “Gallery of Rooms” by twelve of Atlanta’s most talented interior designers.
A panel of celebrity judges, chosen by the editor and staff of Design Is, will award a Best of Show to their favorite room. Visitors to the Show House will also vote for the People’s Choice award. The CHRIS Kids Show House and its transformation will serve as the anchor articles for Design Is magazine in the upcoming year.
LOCATION:
The CHRIS Kids Show House is located at 811 Piedmont Avenue, between 5th Street and 6th Street in Atlanta's desirable Midtown Neighborhood. This grand old mansion has been renovated into four spacious apartments and is steps from Piedmont Park, Peachtree Street's restaurants and shops, and the Fox Theater. Approximately a half mile walk will take one to either MARTA's Midtown Station or the North Avenue Station.

ABOUT THE SHOW HOUSE:
Design Is stylists will offer plenty of holiday decorating ideas as a special bonus for visitors to the CHRIS Kids Show House. Thursday through Sunday, Design Is will roll out special dessert tastings from Midtown’s favorite spots. Local performers will bring out the holiday spirit with unannounced performances throughout the weekend. Don’t be surprised if you spot a local celebrity or politician wandering the rooms of this Show House as you get inspired by the unique twist on modern, in-town living.
Design Is is excited to partner with CHRIS Kids, a non-profit that serves such a worthy cause. This will be an amazing showcase for people to enjoy while raising money for an incredible organization. Designer Coordinator, Mona Stephen carefully selected interior designers who competed for the privilege of bringing each room to life.
