Launching this September is America’s newest (and best), online design magazine - Design Is .

Welcome to Design Is magazine! Design Is will be the country’s premier resource for homeowners and renters who appreciate a modern aesthetic and have limited resources to accomplish the bold and current look they are seeking. We will explore ways to inexpensively re-invent one’s indoor and outdoor living spaces. Design Is will examine ways to re-use or re-purpose existing resources. Let’s face it, the days of $100K kitchen renovations are long gone. And how many of us ever really had access to that kind of cash in the first place? Design Is will explore alternatives to the budget-breaking renovations that so many magazines embrace. However, we refuse to give up the eye-popping, heart-thumping reaction that good design can elicit. Trust me, we can still accomplish great design that is within reach of you, our audience.

Each issue will contain articles on interior design, architecture, entertaining and garden design. Articles will feature high-impact, low cost projects that illustrate how living can be enhanced through strong design. Tips and tricks will help our readers be successful if they choose to pursue similar projects in their home. Designers will share how decisions were made, why the design works, and what resources they used.

No design should appeal to everybody. We all have individual lifestyles, tastes, needs, tolerances, and personalities. To each his own, or so the saying goes. Successful designs will take all these factors into consideration. Rather than pitch the same style to our readers each month, Design Is will offer stories and examples about designs that are current, relevant, and achievable with little investment.

Beginning in September, come to www.DesignIsMagazine.com for monthly issues featuring high-impact, low cost design solutions that you will love. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to share your reactions to our articles - we really want to hear from you! In the mean time, keep coming back to see ideas, interesting products, and updates on our Design Is Show House where we will showcase talented designers and interesting products that our readers will LOVE!

Oh! We almost forgot the best part that will happen before the launch -  the renovation of a vacant boarding house into five modern dwelling spaces for in-town living. The Design Is Show House will open to the public in September. We’ll be showcasing the results of the renovation in our upcoming magazine issues. In the mean time, we’ll be asking your opinion on all sorts of opportunities and issues from designer selection to final touches. So keep tuning in to see progress on the house unfold here at www.designismagazine.com.  Here are some before pics just to tempt your design appetite.
